Zaha Hadid Biography In Irak 1950, Wajiha al-Sabunji was giving birth to Mohammed Hadid's daughter. This daughter, nowadays considered a hero to architecture, is the same person who built the Heydar Aliyev Center, a cultural center in the capital of Azerbaijan. Zaha studied at the American University of Beirut and demonstrated herself and the world that in some years later, she would be an architectural star. Later on, she moved to London where she was part of the Architecture Association, where she graduated in 1977 and then started tutoring her knowledge. Years after, Zaha started her formation in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) which inspired her to found her own architectural signature in 1979.
